The School Day
Our school day follows a clear and consistent timetable, with set times for learning sessions, activities, and lunch. Understanding the bell times helps students stay organised and make the most of every part of the day.
It's important for students to arrive on time each day. If your child is running late, please contact our front office.
Our bell times
Most days follow a structured plan featuring 5 periods, recess and lunch. Each day is slightly different, so students are encouraged to check their timetable each day and ensure they have the correct materials for their lessons.
Canteen
Our canteen ordering system is through Flexischools, or through on-site purchase during recess and lunch. Cash or EFTPOS (with a physical card) are accepted.
Assessments
At Asquith High School, learning is at the heart of everything we do. Our school community works together to create a safe, supportive and challenging environment where every student is known, valued and encouraged to achieve their personal best.
Assessment Handbooks outline how assessments works at our school and will help students understand expectations, manage their time and stay organised throughout the year. Assessments are not only about grades; they are an opportunity for students to demonstrate what they know, how they think and how they apply their learning. Through a range of formal and informal tasks, students can reflect on their progress, build important skills and identify their next steps.
Students are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning by planning ahead, responding to feedback and develop habits that support success, including resilience, organisation, curiosity and persistence.
